Ice skating with EHRGEIZ and ferris wheel at the KÖ

January 2018

One of the most known and elegant shopping streets in Germany - the KÖ, shines bright during the winter season 2017.

Furthermore frosty times started at the Königsallee. Therefore one if not the biggest mobile ice skating track was set up. Until the 28th January 2018 visitors were able to ice skate, take ice skating lessons or even play a round of curling.
As a long term technical event provider in Dusseldorf the Charly’s Checkpoint GmbH had the right plan and the right products for this installation. It was an easy decision to choose EHRGEIZ products for the lighting as Charly’s Checkpoint is already using EHRGEIZ products successfully for years. Especially when it comes to long time outdoor installations EHRGEIZ is always the first choice.

“On the ice skating track we used the EHRGEIZ Chroma because they run very reliable and have more than enough light power to light up such a big surface. The ecentCON system of the fixtures furthermore saves us money and is very safe to use. “ tells us Steven Klein, Project Manager of the Charly’s Checkpoint GmbH

Not far away from the ice skating track it is possible to see the next big installation that is cared technical by the Charly’s Checkpoint GmbH – a big ferris wheel called “Wheel Of Vision”. The ferris wheel was illuminated with EHRGEIZ Chroma 40 RGB too. 28 pieces overall – 14 on each side.

“Since a few years we use the EHRGEIZ Chroma RGBW for the illumination of the ferris wheel. Wind, snow or rain we have no problems or losses with the fixtures. And the fixtures are running every day during the three winter months.” Says Steven Klein
